Rejected bot designs
A few bot designs did not make the list in the article for various reasons. These will be documented here for the sake of curiosity and/or future digital historians.
Qualifications
A bot may be omitted from the article and place here if any of these are true:
- It has no 3D printed parts at all.
- It is more than two generations behind a documented bot which has improvements that make the older design obsolete.
- It does not function as a combat robot (but see below).
- It can't be assembled as designed. A link to proof of this assertion may be needed.
Here are reasons a bot does NOT belong in this list:
- The bot is a model or decorative item. Non-functional designs do NOT belong either in this list or in the article.
- The instructions provided with the bot are unclear or incomplete.
A specific reason must be given for each item here. Discuss here if there is any uncertainty as to which list is more appropriate. --Chklnk (talk) 07:48, 13 December 2021 (UTC)
The Rejects
- Unnamed 3lb Undercutter (by TeamMagicalLipoFire) 1749282 is poorly documented and appears to be a primitive early version of Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly Mk6.
- Colsonbot 3lb Weaponless shell spinner (by teamtestbot) 1621915 appears to be a non-fighting novelty bot.
- Tiger Shark v4 is an earlier version of the ones on the list.
- Plastic Ant combat robot Wedge Sparkfun undocumented, no info about components or assembly.
- Kidney Stone antweight undocumented, no info about components or assembly.
- ERIC! working Robot Wars replica Project removed at request of the RW team.
- Chameleon Just parts, no details.
- 1lb Antweight class battlebot parts No chassis, no photos.
