I like the concept of this page. I think we should find good places to link to it. One likely place is somewhere in the getting started area. Thoughts on keeping the descriptions here fairly brief and potentially having more dedicated pages for things when needed.

Agree. Page seems to have started as a cross between materials list and glossary. Not sure what direction was intended by the OP. Feels like a photo/visual guide would be nice, but want to hear other people's vision. Could link to:

• Materials/Plastic (including suitable fasteners)
• Materials/Metal (ditto)
• 3D printing
• Electronic devices, some of which have pages already
